This Presidential Candidate Will Raise Taxes On The American Middle Class By More Than $1 Trillion Over The Next 10 Years And How This Will Affect You

I generally do not like to get political on Your First Million.  For that reason, I am only outlining facts and I will not express my own personal opinion here.   The only reason I am posting this is because taxes are one of our biggest expenses in life and they are very important to our personal finances.  We need to be educated about taxes and how they affect us.

I recently read this article on atr.org that outlines the tax plan of presidential candidate Hillary Clinton.  I am not saying it is good or bad, I am here to let you look at the numbers and you make you own decision.  Again I am not expressing my own personal opinion, just providing the numbers.

Hillary Clinton’s tax plan, based on what her campaign outlines for us, will raise taxes on the American middle class by over $1 Trillion over the next 10 years.

  1. I think too often it’s easy to say republicans will lower taxes for the wealthy and democrats will raise taxes on the wealthy. I personally think the candidates should outline which tax rate will raise revenue consistent with their budgets. I’d love to get back in time to a place where the U.S. isn’t spending more. Personally I’d like to see the U.S. run it’s finances like some of the successful finance bloggers that have reached FIRE.
