I have always enjoyed listening to audio programs especially while driving in the car. Often times I order the audio CDs of some of my favorite books so that I can listen to them often, and I have found that I can usually get through a book a bit faster if I just listen to it rather than sit down and read it. Not to mention audio is a completely different learning style than reading so when I do both I feel like I learn more from the book.
I first discovered podcasts a little over two years ago. I commonly visit the BiggerPockets website because I love real estate investing, and it was here that I learned about podcasts. I started listening to a few podcasts and I learned that these are a great way to learn specific subjects and they are great for regular motivation. A podcast is basically like a radio show that listeners can listen to at any time.
It is also really cool because podcasts are usually archived, so you can go back and listen to any of the previous episodes that you want, whenever you want, and as many times as you want. Also, they are free!
Here the the three podcasts that I listen to on a regular basis. If you are working hard on becoming a millionaire, or are even just thinking about getting started on your journey, these three podcasts are a really good place to start tuning in.
1. The BiggerPockets Podcast
This was the first podcast I started listening to. It is put on each week by Josh Dorkin and Brandon Turner from BiggerPockets and they interview a different real estate investor each episode. They have done shows with investors of all shapes and sizes, from people who just have a few rental units to people who own multi-million-dollar real estate portfolios. I really enjoy this podcast because it gives you so many different perspectives! I have learned so much about real estate investing just listening to this podcast each week. This podcast is a must for anyone wanting to get into real estate investing.
2. The Rich Dad Radio Show Podcast
This podcast is put on by Robert Kiyosaki, the author of Rich Dad Poor Dad and countless other books under the Rich Dad series, and his wife Kim. Each week they have a show on a topic that relates to you and your money. They bring on all kinds of guests from economists to business magnates to millionaire investors. They talk about all different subjects regarding personal finance and how to escape the rat race of having a 9-5 job and being stuck in the shrinking middle class. Robert is famous for suggesting that cash flow and passive income is how you become financially free, that savers are losers and that your home is not an asset. I think everyone should listen to this podcast because it helps tune your mind to start thinking the way that the rich people think.
3. The Cardone Zone
Grant Cardone is a self made multi-millionaire (his net worth exceeds $100 million) entrepreneur and real estate mogul. He has founded 5 major companies from the ground up that have $100 million in annual sales. He is also a motivational speaker and financial educator who offers materials on personal finance, business, sales and investing. I just recently learned about Grant Cardone’s weekly podcast a few months ago. He does a live radio show on some radio station in Miami, FL and records the show into a podcast. He flies his personal jet to Miami every week to record the show. The Cardone Zone is EXTREMELY motivational. Something about the way that Grant speaks, it really gets a fire burning inside you and it will make you want to explode your productivity! If I could listen to Grant Cardone speak every day I would, and often I do go back and listen to many of his early episodes.
So there you have it… my 3 favorite podcasts that I listen to on a regular basis that help me stay motivated and offer many different financial perspectives. I recommend all three of these podcasts to all of my readers, especially those who are aspiring to build wealth of $1 million or more!
