My goal is to do a book recommendation for my readers at least once a week from now on.
This week’s book that I am recommending is called “Sales Dogs” by Blair Singer and it is an absolutely fantastic book that is all about learning how to sell! Blair Singer is one of the “Rich Dad Advisors” to Robert Kiyosaki, and this book is part of the Rich Dad Advisors series.
Now if you are like me, when I got started being an entrepreneur I hated sales. Sales people have always annoyed me. I couldn’t stand going to a car dealership, getting pesky sales calls from telemarketers, or going through a walkway in Mexico that has sales tents on both sides of you and people bombarding you to sell you souvenirs.
This is something that I had to get over though. Sales is what brings in revenue in any business, and it is probably one of the top keys to success. Robert Kiyosaki’s rich dad once told him “If you want to enter the world of business, you must first learn how to sell…”
I have read this book several times over since I bought it many years ago. I have since also purchased the audio version so that I could listen to it in the car when I am out driving around. Blair Singer explains that no matter your personality type, you can still be a certain “breed” of sales dog. Not everyone has to be a “pit bull” salesman to be successful like most of us would think. There are excellent sales people of every shape, size and personality type… even introverts!
This book will help you identify which breed of sales dog is inside of you and help you learn to master the skill of being able to sell. This will help you succeed in business and life! Probably my single favorite book I have ever read on the subject of sales.
